Today is not the day I get sick of chillwave. Or, more broadly, effect-ridden guitar pop that skates over waveforms with a rickety-ass drum machine(?) in tow. The imbalanced loops and fades, combined with one hell of an anchoring bass, flashes on—dare I say it—a My Bloody Valentine-ish aesthetic of swooning decay and Möbius-strip noise: twisting but only ever one-sided. Jeez, I think I pulled a muscle with that metaphor.
